Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information DomRecovery collects, how it is used, and the choices you have when using the website, member area and desktop software.

Who we are

DomRecovery is a software product provided by Dom Huga Ltd / PBL Soft. In this policy, "DomRecovery", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the people and systems that operate the DomRecovery website, licensing, update and support services.

If you have questions about this policy, contact support through the member area or the support details provided on the PBL Soft website.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you use DomRecovery, we may process the following types of information:

  • Account information, such as your username, email address and licence status.
  • Payment and order information, handled through the member/payment systems used for purchase and licence management.
  • Login and licence-check information submitted by the DomRecovery app so it can verify that your licence is active.
  • Update-check information, such as the software version requesting the latest update feed.
  • Support messages, diagnostic details and information you choose to provide when asking for help.
  • Basic website technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, where collected by web server logs or analytics tools.

Information stored locally by the app

The DomRecovery desktop app stores settings on your own computer. This can include recovery settings, proxy list text, output folder preferences and remembered login details if you choose to save them.

Saved login passwords are protected locally using Windows data protection for the current user account. You can remove remembered login details by using the logout option in the app.

Proxy details entered into the app are stored locally as part of your settings. Only add proxies you are authorised to use.

How we use information

  • To provide access to purchased software and downloads.
  • To verify licence status when the app starts or when you log in.
  • To provide software updates and update metadata.
  • To process payments, refunds and account administration.
  • To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues.
  • To protect the service from fraud, abuse, unauthorised access and misuse.
  • To improve the website, documentation and software.

Third-party services

We may use third-party services to operate the website, member area, payment processing, support, email delivery, analytics, hosting and licensing. These services may process information as needed to provide their functions.

Payments and account access may be handled through the PBL Soft member area or related payment providers. We do not intentionally publish your payment details and we do not need your card details to operate the desktop app.

Cookies and local storage

The website may use cookies, server logs and browser local storage. For example, the theme toggle stores your light/dark theme preference in your browser.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect login, checkout or member-area functionality.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business records, handle support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect against abuse. Local settings stored by the desktop app remain on your computer until you delete them or use the available app controls to clear them.

Your choices

  • You can avoid saving your password locally by disabling remembered login.
  • You can use the app logout option to clear remembered licence login details from your machine.
  • You can request account or support assistance through the member area.
  • You can control browser cookies and local storage through your browser settings.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No website, network or software system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should also protect your own account credentials, Windows user account and local computer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of DomRecovery after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
